Our included, twice daily activities offer guests a truly immersive experience, in which they can not only witness the beauty of the land but actively participate in nurturing it.
HIKING
The Hightail Ranch offers ample opportunity for hiking, birdwatching, and wildlife encounters. With thousands of acres of game trails, we invite you to discover the expansive vistas on property or let one of our expert guides take you into the backcountry. Hoping to capture the moment? Hike with our resident photographer! Wildlife encounters are all but guaranteed.
HORSEBACK RIDING
Explore one of the most diverse landscapes in the world on the back of a trusty steed. Our trail rides typically span from one to six hours in duration. You will be paired with a horse carefully selected to match your size, riding ability, and temperament.
We offer three levels of horseback riding to choose from so whether you're a novice rider seeking a leisurely pace or an advanced rider hoping to challenge themselves in the backcountry, we have an adventure for you.

ATV/UTV
If hiking isn't your preferred activity, opt for exploring trails on an ATV instead! Embark on a half-day adventure with your small group or family, discovering our vast landscape. ATV trails are suitable for skilled riders only. ATVs accommodate one or two riders.
ARCHERY & RIFLE
Delve into the excitement of marksmanship as you refine your primitive skills amidst a stunning backdrop. Our experienced, military trained guides will assist as you learn the fun and safe way to handle, sight, and shoot. We offer both beginner and advanced opportunities to practice your aim. From bottle can target practice to long range shooting.
